Conway Building Co recently completed a comprehensive patio and kitchen renovation in Bowral, transforming the home’s outdoor and indoor living areas into a bright, functional, and seamless space. This project demonstrates our expertise in residential renovations, blending clever design, high-quality finishes, and enhanced natural light to create a space ideal for family living and entertaining.
The renovation involved enclosing an existing patio to create a sunroom, improving year-round usability while maintaining a strong connection to the garden. Two existing door units and a window from the kitchen were removed to create a servery, and two new bifold door units were installed between an existing brick pillar, providing flexible indoor outdoor flow.
Brick walls were lined, and a P50 shadowline skirting was added to the new area to create clean, contemporary lines. A new curved external slab was poured to the garden, and a door rebate was chased into the existing slab to ensure a flush, seamless transition from internal to external spaces.
Inside, a custom built-in shelving unit was designed with hidden strip lighting, providing a functional and visually striking feature. Retractable flyscreens were installed flush with the floor, allowing doors to remain fully open during summer while maintaining a clean, uninterrupted aesthetic. To further enhance natural light, three skylights were added to the existing kitchen, bringing sunlight deep into the living areas and creating a bright, inviting atmosphere.
The completed renovation delivers a stylish, functional, and highly liveable space, perfectly integrating indoor and outdoor living.
